Chicago Signage
Different places have small bits and pieces about them that make them home. In cities, you generally get keyed into funny/weird signage, especially the ones with glaring typos or new and inventive wordplay. While we lived in Chicago, there were a few favorites, which some brilliant soul took pictures of and posted online. Sadly, the daily favorite — a gas station advertising their morning special like so: COFFEEDONUT 1.25 — isn’t in the mix, as it was really more about the funny idea of the “coffeedonut” than a wacky sign. But the funniest sign in the whole damn city DID make the cut:

What the main page for those signs fails to note is that the sign was a double: it formed a V on the corner, with both wings having the same wording … only without the typos on one side.
