Wait, what, it’s fall?

How the hell did this happen?

The yard is coated in leaves and apples.  Frost warnings.  Cool temperatures. And that was the last week of August!

On the plus side, the heirloom apples are cropping up at Poverty Lane Orchards (and the regular apples are rocking, too), the air smells great, football season is in progress, and oil prices are dropping. Oh, wait, that last one’s bad — we locked in our rate in July.  Grrrr!  But the apples taste great!

And yes, there was rather a lot of hackage in early September, and I’m still working out the kinks.  But things are better (a little bit).  Eventually, the photos will be back in order, only on Flickr rather than here. Paying them a bit of cash is proving easier and less time-consuming than spending my evening and weekend hours poring over obscure snippets of PHP and root-level access commands that I only dimly understand.  Plus, the interface is, oh, about a BILLION times better!

Hopefully we’ll get back on the updating track after September waves goodbye … it’s generally the craziest month of the year around here, thanks to Dartmouth’s quarterly schedule.
