Blog? What Blog?
Things have been busy around here.
A certain small person has been taking up vast amounts of time (wonderful, joyous, albeit occasionally smelly time), and when we’re not tending to him, the following stuff has been going on:
- Attended beer festival in Boston, 10/29 (Isaac and Laura visited Deirdre, Lisa, and Anya)
- Working out aggravatingly strange argument between stove store and gas company re: nature of the stove we bought. Company says it’s not LP-ready; manufacturer and retailer say it is. I’m in the middle, waiting. Garrrgghhhh.
- Had attic insulated Monday morning. Approximately 100 minutes after starting, it was all done. That was sweet.
- Raked a lot of lawn. There are still a lot of leaves. Gargh.
- Had meeting with group of civic-minded friends to kick off an effort to implement some beautification/traffic safety measures along the School St./Rte. 120, along which we all live. Should be an interesting, and hopefully successful, process.
- Plotted out the path to being a homebrewer again, after a 6-year hiatus. Equipment is on the way, and Thanksgiving weekend is targeted as the first brew date.
- Had another meeting of the founders of our still-unnamed beer club. A very good meeting indeed, sifting out responsibilities, and coming up with some strong direction. Things should really get rolling soon.
And plus, there’s “work.” Yowza. Being a grownup with a house and a family is like, complex and stuff.
