Weekend Work
At long last, I attacked the rotted-out siding above the porch. Colin came over to help out, and we knocked this out in about two hours or so (not counting much running around collecting nails, tarpaper, and tools).
Actually, once things got going, the actual installation was easy, and it looks good:
I see now how much of a labor-savor automatic nailers are … would’ve cut the installation time in more than half, since the siding was thin, so I pre-drilled holes for the nails. I did, however, enjoy utilizing some new power tools. Next time it’s not raining, I’ll get that side painted/touched up.
