Waterfall…
It was …. the drain trap for the bathtub.
I think. At any rate, there was quite the waterfall emitting from our bathroom ceiling last night. My suspicions currently point directly at the crappy old drains for the fixtures up there — not your typical u-shaped traps, but cylindrical PVC redirectors, really. When we had leaks fixed before we moved in back in January, the plumber then pointed to a similar trap formerly attached to our tub and said: “See that drain? That thing’s shit. Leaky, and they clog fast.”
Hey! He was right. Hopefully the same guy shows up today … he was very good, and very fast. Unfortunately, most of the pipework for the apartment is now covered by the only “real” ceiling in the whole goddam house. Sigh.
