Back to Work in the Disaster Zone
So we’ve been back for a few days now, and have yet to catch up on the sleep sacrificed on the trip home. That pales in comparison to the news that the very day we left (hot, sunny), June 9, the area was brutalized by hardcore downpours to the tune of $1.7 million in damage (I’ve also heard up to $4 million!) to Hanover roads, along with closure of all the swimming areas and reservoirs due to probable E. Coli infections. Wheee!
I think I’m glad I missed the 3 inches of rain in 10 minutes that hit.
Aside from that wackiness, it’s now time to switch into high gear on prepping the house for baby arrival in 10 weeks. It will be a busy summer indeed.
