Ooooooog!
I didn’t think, initially, that my plans to mow the lawn, seal a leaky shutoff valve, and prime 3 rooms was overly ambitious.
Then I mowed the lawn. Saturday, 11:30AM, about 88F outside. No sunscreen, very little liquid. Wooops.
First off, this is only the second time I’ve attempted the whole shebang — it takes close to two hours, mainly due to struggling up and down the steepest sections of the hill. So when I finally finished up (after also figuring out how to make the gas-powered line trimmer work), I thought “hey, a bit of rest, then on to the next task!”
There was no next task. Utterly, completely beat, sunburned, and rather dehydrated to boot. The brief break turned into a 4-hour break, which melded into crawling off to dinner at the local pub, then some slogging errands before coming home and essentially passing out by 9PM or so. From this point forward, lawnmowing means the hydration pack and sunscreen are MANDATORY.
I did manage to get two of the three rooms primed on Sunday, though. Final one should get done this week, before CA departure.
