Weekend Roundup
Lots and lots of joint compound this weekend. Big fun! Pictures to come soon. Also, a few more sightings of the woodchuck (or groundhog, if you’re from Pennsylvania), whose name is now “Eddie.” Eddie lives under our shed. Eddie’s pretty damn big. Blurry shot of Eddie coming soon.
It does appear as if we’ll have 3/4 of a bathroom by the end of the week, though, since tonight the final coats of mud will be sanded smooth, tomorrow the primer goes on, and Wednesday the paint goes on. Thursday, we get a sink, finally. Then we play the waiting game with the local home store for the shower surround, and hope that our contractor has a free day in the next week to get the last bits set up.
We also removed the thoroughly dead Japanese weeping cherry in the front lawn, to be replaced by somethign else that’ll be flowery and purty. The perennial garden that we discovered beneath the snow banks seems to be waking up nicely, though.
